OUR STORY
MOVE Method takes the stress out of moving by delivering turn-key services that allow clients to walk out of their old home and into the new, unpacked and fully furnished. We work with clients at every age whether it be moving into a first home, downsizing to a condo, or joining a retirement community.
MEET CHERYL
MOVE Method was founded by Cheryl Morgan, whose passion for helping others move stemmed from her own experience downsizing to a condo when she and her husband's youngest left for college. Shortly after, she experienced again how overwhelming right-sizing can be, when she moved her parents from their Houston home of 45 years to a Dallas retirement community.
Cheryl quickly saw a need and recognized her ability to serve others by not only coordinating the moving process from start to finish, but providing emotional support - a component of moving that clients often do not anticipate. Parting with certain belongings and transitioning from a home that built many memories can be an emotional process, but Cheryl's experience in the industry allows her the foresight to see the benefits of downsizing for both her clients and their children.
OUR SERVICES
Our unique process saves clients time, money and stress. We begin by conducting an initial consultation, where we can quickly determine wants, needs, and project scope - while considering time and budget. Clients typically select services a la carte, with the option to add/drop as the project develops. From there we organize the move into three phases - space planning, move management, and project installation.
SPACE PLANNING
MOVE MANAGEMENT
We kick off the process with detailed space planning. We map out your new space, help determine what items will move with you, and where to best place them. Our team then assesses what belongings remain and coordinate where they should go - whether that be to family members or friends, donations to local charities, sold in participating estate sales, or discarded.
We guide clients through every stage of their move - filing address changes, utility transfers, packing, staging, and coordinating logistics on moving day. Our team works closely with the moving company to ensure nothing is left behind and moved items are placed in the correct space.
PROJECT INSTALLATION
This is when your new home comes alive. Our team unpacks all the boxes and sets up the space to reflect your own personal style. We welcome you home to arranged furniture, made beds, pictures on the walls, and other belongings organized and tucked away.
